Program Development & Evaluation
Our program development & evaluation process utilizes a systematic chain model that allows for ultimate program component development and results in the creation of relevant and specific short—term, intermediate, and long-term out come markers. The process begins with needs assessment. Our method of needs assessment is to develop a Concept Map. |

Our evaluation procedures include both Formative and Summative processes. Formative Evaluation is concerned with how the program is delivered. It deals with things such as when the program activities occur, where they occur, and who delivers them. In other words, it asks the question: Is the program being delivered as intended? Summative Evaluation addresses the question: What are the results?

Concept Mapping
A concept map is a way of representing relationships between ideas, images or words, in the same way that a sentence diagram represents the grammar of a sentence, a road map represents the locations of highways and towns, and a circuit diagram represents the workings of an electrical appliance.
In a concept map, each word or phrase is connected to another and linked back to the original idea, word or phrase.
When used for needs assessment, Concept Maps are a way to spatially represent and categorize needs and put them into logical order by revealing connections and helping people and organizations see how individual ideas form a larger whole. |
